The Practice

After working for a private health system for many years, I have started my own practice, which allows me to offer greater flexibility in types of clients, scheduling, billing and ease of contact. My adaptable hours include some evenings, Saturdays and holidays. Clients can reach me in between sessions via text or email if necessary and can schedule tele-therapy by computer video or phone.

Areas of Expertise

My practice targets anyone over the age of 11 with no limit on the older spectrum. I offer a judgement-free environment to help cope with issues including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bullying, sexual identity, grief, trauma, mood and personality disorders, relationships and parenting. I treat individuals, couples and families depending on the need.

How It Works

After establishing a trusting relationship with my clients, I work towards identifying their issues followed by setting mutually-agreed upon attainable goals; one step at a time. I personally believe that the success gained by smaller increments builds confidence which eventually motivates us to achieve more. My clients set the pace; determining just how quickly or slowly they want to proceed. While some only need a few sessions a month, others prefer a more frequent schedule (i.e. 2 to 3 times a week.)

Tele-Therapy

As a tele-therapy provider I offer the security of a private, confidential “office” with the ease of “meeting” you anywhere at times convenient to you. I understand that in today’s world, many clients’ schedules are dictated by jobs, family responsibilities, child-care, health, etc. which is why I strive to make my practice as easy for you as possible. Having raised four kids I know the challenges of balancing family and work.

Licensing

Certified by the state of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor (#3911), I’m also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NBCC #90188) and a Certified Telemental Health Provider (#523374). I earned a Masters of Science degree in Counseling Education from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.

Flexible Payment

My practice accepts most private health insurances while also offering the option to self-pay. Additionally, many patients choose to submit the bill themselves to their insurance company. I am more than happy to help provide documentation in the form of a "super bill" to ease the payment process.
